Crypto payments

How crypto payment works at IVPN

Pay for an IVPN plan with Bitcoin (on-chain or Lightning) or Monero. Bitcoin invoices come from IVPN's BTCPay Server and are valid for 60 minutes. The server watches an invoice for 24 hours, and later payments have to be processed by hand. IVPN Light is a separate quick-access VPN priced in sats and paid with Lightning; it doesn't need an account.

Accepted cryptocurrencies

  • BTC
  • XMR
  • BTC Lightning

Bitcoin runs through IVPN's own BTCPay Server, and Monero is self-hosted. IVPN says it runs its own Bitcoin and Monero nodes.

Good to know before you pay

  • No email is required to sign up.
  • A full refund can be requested within 30 days, once per account. For Bitcoin or Monero refunds, give a wallet address to receive the funds.
  • IVPN Light (Lightning) purchases are non-refundable.
  • If you pay a BTC invoice after the 60-minute window, send the transaction ID to billing to get it credited.
